Certified Dementia Training Program CDP

This is a one day 8 hour program. The educational models that will be covered are: Diagnosis, Prognosis, Treatment, Communication, Feelings, Depression, Repetitive Behavior, Paranoia, Hallucinations, Wandering, Hoarding, Aggressive Behavior, Catastrophic Reactions, Intimacy and Sexuality, Personal Care, Pain, Nutrition, Activities, Environment, Staff and Family Support, Diversity & Cultural Competence.

After completing the program and all the modules you will be ready to get your CDP certification. This is a simple process you simply 1) show your certificate of completion of this 8 hr ADDC program that will be provided to you and 2) make payment of $160.00 to the NCCDP National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Thats it, you are now a CDP.

You will then receive your new CDP designation. You will also be provided with the documents necessary to get your 7 CEU’s if needed.

Local Reminiscence Program MA & RI Only

The Local Reminiscence Program is available in Massachusetts & Rhode Island only. The program is approximately 1 hour long and the cost is $150.00. The program combines a power point presentation and group discussion of each artifact. The artifacts are passed around, displayed and discussed. We go through 50 or more artifacts in each of the 6 unique programs. “Educating” is not the primary objective of this program. Engaging, evoking memories, and having discussions about the “artifact” is the goal. The presentation is catered to the cognitive abilities of the group and adjusted appropriately.
